# User interface
|
|
|
|
An interactive user interface has been developed as a shiny application to visualize the model results. The user interface consists of a side bar on the left-hand side where the user can make specific selections and a tab-panel where the results are visualized. Four different types of output can be visualized:
|
|
|
|
* **Line_Comp**: time series per compartment
|
|
|
|
* **Line_OS**: time series whole Oosterschelde
|
|
|
|
* **Map_dyn**: dynamic map (map for each time step
|
|
|
|
* **Map**: map aggregated per year
|
|
|
|
|
|

# Side bar selection
|
|
|
|
Via drop-down lists in the side bar, the user can select the model and eventually the model to compare with. The variable can be selected and the compartment for which output is required. Also the specific year can be selected (only applicable for yearly overview). In a tick box, the user can select of data should be plotted if available for the specific compartment. The expand Y-axis slider can be used to expand the Y-axis in the time series of the scaling of the legend in the spatial maps. In the Data-range the extensions of the x-axis of the time series can be adapted and with the slider Time, the value at a specific time-step can be retrieved and a map at a specific time can be plotted.

# Line_Comp
|
|
|
|
Time series can be plotted per compartment for the variables that vary spatially and temporally. Variables that can be selected are all the state variables and calculated variables such as the carrying capacity parameters (e.g. primary production, clearance time, clearance ratio).

# Line_OS
|
|
|
|
This plot presents time series for data aggregated over the whole Oosterschelde (compartment cannot be selected). For this plot only variables can be selected that are aggregated over the whole Oosterschelde such as the total mussel stock.

# Map_dyn
|
|
|
|
This plot shows the model results as dynamic maps. in the drop-down the required variables can be selected. With the slider "Time", the specific moment can be chosen. With the slider "Expand Y-axis", the classes in the legend can be adapted.

|
|

# Map
|
|
|
|
This map shows the yearly-aggregated model results. The specific year can be selected in the side-bar. Only years can be selected with model results before February 15<sup>th</sup> and after November 15<sup>th</sup> of that specific year.

# Time series per compartment
|
|
|
|
In this dashboard item, times series of the model output can be plotted together with the observations. The user can make specific selections in the **Select input** panel. In the first drop-down (**Select modelrun**), the required model output can be selected (default is the last modelrun). In **Model to compare with**, the user can select a second modelrun to compare with. In **Select variable** the variable to be plotted can be chosen and the compartment can be selected in **Select compartment**. The y-axis can be expanded with the ruler **Expand Y-axis**. The tick boxes **Observations** and **Show values** can be selected to show obvervations and calculated values in the plot at a specific time (given with **Selectdate**). The R<sup>2</sup> values in the upperleft corner represent the modelfit (1-SS<sub>res</sub>/SS<sub>obs</sub>).

|

In the first drop-down (**Select modelrun**), the required model output can be selected (default is the last modelrun). In **Select variable** the variable to be plotted can be chosen. With **Kleuren**, the user can change the color palette. The y-axis can be expanded with the ruler **Expand Y-axis**. With the ruler **Selectdate**, the moment of modeloutput can be chosen. The tick boxes **Fixed scale** can be used to fix the scale of the map over time. The tick boxes **Observations** and **Compartments**, respectively to plot the monitoring locations and names of the compartments on the plot.

In **Select variable** the variable to be plotted can be chosen and the compartment can be selected in **Select compartment**. The calculated values are plotted on top of the bars.
